We meet almost every Sunday evening in the conservatory of the Birkhill, St Mary’s street (near the Station), looking out over Dumfries. One of three local bands plays between 8 pm and 10.30 pm (entry charge £2), and about 10 times a year we invite well-known jazz bands (usually traditional) from the UK or overseas. If this takes place on a Friday or Saturday evening, then there is no club night on the Sunday. All our visiting bands have commented on the wonderful acoustics and the enthusiastic audiences.
